Welded mesh fabric, used in concrete reinforcement, is available in a number of standard wire diameter and spacing sizes. Special design requirements can be accommodated using standard wire diameters and alternative spacing combinations.

All welded mesh is manufactured to SANS 1024/2006 standard specifications.

  • Standard sizes for welded steel fabric for concrete reinforcement
  • All standard sizes are identified by a reference number which is the nominal mass of the fabric in kg/m2 x 100
  • Mesh can be manufactured to meet international standards
  • The standard sheet size for fabric is 6m x 2,4m
  • Rolls for reference 100, 156, 193 and 245 are 60m x 2,4m
  • Fabrics 1085, 943, 888, 746 and 156 are in addition to SABS 1024
  • Fabric 156 is special size manufactured for the use in domestic swimming pools and gunting applications.
